Masterclass music theatre - connecting, acting and singing

Pia had her international breakthrough in 1992 in Vienna with her brilliant portrayal of Elisabeth in the musical Elisabeth and played this role in Scheveningen, Essen, Stuttgart and Berlin.

She starred as Velma Kelly (Chicago) on Broadway, New York and in the West End, London. She created the role of Milady de Winter in 3 Musketeers Rotterdam, Berlin and Stuttgart. She also created the part of Claire Zachanassian in Der Besuch der alten Dame (also known as the Visit) in Thun (CH) and Vienna.

She played in Chicago (Velma Kelly) Utrecht, Cabaret (Sally Bowles) Bad Hersfeld (DL) and Amsterdam, Cats (Grizabella, Demeter) Amsterdam, Vienna and Moscow, Fosse (soloist), Evita (Eva Perón), Les Misérables (Fantine) Scheveningen and Amsterdam, Grease (Rizzo) Vienna, The Rocky Horror Show (Janet) Bad Hersfeld (DL), Passion (Clara) Dutch Tour, Sunset Boulevard (Norma Desmond) Dutch Tour, Dortmund and Bonn, We Will Rock You (Killer Queen)Utrecht, Rebecca ( Mrs. Danvers) Stuttgart, Tecklenburg, Next to Normal (Diana) Fürth(DL), Dresden and Vienna and Billy Elliot (Mrs. Wikinson) Scheveningen.

Her stage roles include: Maria Callas in Master Class, Dutch Tour, Johanna in Kramer vs. Kramer, Dutch Tour, Kate in Other People’s Money, Prague, Jane Eyre in Jane Eyre , Dutch Tour and the daughter in Savannah Bay, Almere. Pia collaborated on the drama series Wilhelmina and Annie M.G. (Conny Stuart) and was coach and member of the jury for the Dutch TV talent shows “Op zoek naar Evita, Joseph, Mary Poppins and Zorro and the German TV talent show: ‘Me Tarzan, You Jane “.

She won awards for leading roles in Elisabeth, Cabaret and 3 Musketeers and a John Kraaijkamp Musical Award for best Actress abroad (2002).

Pia has a great passion for coaching young talent at schools across Europe and she is Ambassador for the Ingeborg Douwes Stichting and the Make a Wish Foundation Netherlands and Austria
