About Session

Choir singing is a deeply holistic practice that promotes physical, emotional, and social well-being. Beyond the joy of music and the artistic experience, choral singing fosters community, equality, and a shared sense of purpose. Throughout history, it has served as a powerful tool for peaceful resistance and social transformation, and research confirms its health benefits: improved brain function, reduced stress, and strengthened immunity. Singing together creates a space where every voice matters, encouraging healing, connection, and joy.
In this workshop, we will work with newly composed songs for ensemble and choir. These pieces have been created with both artistic and educational intentions – aiming to provide high-quality music that can be adapted to various pedagogical or performance contexts. Stylistically, it draws inspiration from folk music, classical singing, pop, and gospel. The lyrics touch on universal themes such as love, peace, faith, and friendship. The repertoire includes everything from rhythmic up-tempo songs and calm ballads, combining simple melodies with more challenging singing in parts singing. Some pieces invite full-body musical engagement. The overarching goal with my songs is to nurture the joy of singing, strengthen community, and offer a rich artistic experience for all participants. So, Come and Sing-Together!
