About Session
bridges from roots to wings with natural voices, from contemporary to classical folk music sound and their singing techniques
Traditional singing in many countries is characterised by the diverse use of different vocal timbres, but also by the targeted use of vocal registers. Another common feature of traditional singing styles is that singing in a group is central. But what are the differences? How are these techniques taught at university level? We will discuss this in the keynote speech with Zane Smite, Sirkka Kosonen and Nadja Räss. But we won’t just talk about it, we’ll sing together too.
