You explore your voice as a versatile instrument through playful experiments with breathing, resonance, articulation, and more. Using “Son-Icons”, Hug’s musical-visual creation method, vocal improvisations, and the vocal, gestural, and visceral sound production are recorded and visualized. The change of medium and the resulting “visual music” reveal new facets of your voice, which then provide stimulus for new vocal improvisations. The Intermedia Voice-Lab is a musical-visual journey of discovery and an exploration of the blind spots of your own voice.
