Best practice – Vocal pedagogy Lucerne
Since 2019 graduates of the Master’s degree programme in Vocal Pedagogy Classical and Jazz at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts meet to discuss vocal pedagogy topics. They are all working as singing teachers at music schools with different tasks and different workloads. This forum called “Stimmsitz”, which means vocal focus and sit together in one word, wants to exchange ideas and give further training.

Part 2 – Schoeck-Festival
Since 2016, the Othmar Schoeck Festival in Brunnen has aimed to reflect on the life and work of the composer, who was born here, and place it in a wider context, musically, socially and historically. Cultivating his extensive song oeuvre is a central but also challenging aspect of this. Masterclasses for Lied duos have been held regularly since 2021. In public events, individual songs are worked on by singing students, while experts from the fields of musicology and the humanities enrich the learning process by discussing aspects of content and form.
