About Britta Balandat

I am dedicated to supporting individuals in achieving their vocal and personal development goals through a creative, evidence-based approach to clinical, pedagogical, and artistic challenges. Since 2009, I have worked as a clinical speech-language pathologist at the University Hospital Zurich, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of voice disorders. My work includes teaching SOVTE techniques in Switzerland, Germany, and Austria, as well as delivering voice-related courses at the University of Zurich in higher education didactics.

Alongside clinical practice, I coach actors, singers, and speakers and provide supervision in therapeutic and pedagogical contexts. I hold a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Danube University Krems, where my research focused on the effectiveness of lip trills on multidimensional acoustic parameters of vocal function.

My professional journey began in Germany, where I led the Voice Department at REHA-Med and worked clinically at Klinikum Dortmund. Complementing my therapeutic expertise, I have a strong background in jazz singing, having studied at the Folkwang University of the Arts and trained with renowned musicians. Additional qualifications in music pedagogy, adult education, and communication enrich my interdisciplinary approach, ensuring holistic and person-centered care.
