About Edward Rushton
Edward Rushton has been teaching chamber music and piano accompaniment at the Musikhochschule Luzern since 2000. He has performed recitals all over Europe and recorded many CDs, including music by lesser-known composers. His love for song led him in 2015 to found the association “Besuch der Lieder” in order to further the performance of Lieder in private spaces in Switzerland. As a composer, works for voice and piano form a core part of his oeuvre, and he has written over forty song cycles and individual songs. For his achievements he was awarded the Conrad Ferdinand Meyer Foundation prize in 2020.
