About Elisabeth Pawelke

Dr. Elisabeth Pawelke studied voice and historical harp at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (Basel), the Hochschule für Alte Musik in Basel, and the State University of Music in Trossingen, earning a Master of Music in Early Music. She received additional vocal training from Gundula Anders and Eric Mentzel and participated in masterclasses with artists such as Emma Kirkby. Her repertoire spans early music from the Middle Ages to the Baroque, classical vocal literature, traditional music, and musical theatre.

Elisabeth also completed studies in Music Education, Musicology, and Historical German Linguistics, earning a Magister Artium at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich and the University of Basel, supported by a scholarship. In addition, she is a certified academic speech and voice therapist. She earned her Ph.D. in Music Education at the Leopold Mozart College of Music, University of Augsburg, in the Department of Instrumental and Vocal Pedagogy (IGP). Her doctoral dissertation was published in 2025 in the International University Series for habilitations and distinguished dissertations by Waxmann Verlag.
