About Ellen Pieterse
Ellen Pieterse is an all-round singer with an expressive stage presence. Coming from a classical education, she has developed into an allround performer with a great love for combining the beauty of classical music with the many musical possibilities of today. Ellen has become a much-sought vocal teacher and an important part of her students find their way to the conservatoire. She is a teacher for vocal techniques in light music at the department of Musical Theater at the ArtEZ conservatoire of Arnhem and a guest teacher at the ArtEZ conservatoire of Zwolle. After her classical training at the conservatoire Ellen took courses in vocal technique for light singing and classes in drama and film/tv-acting. Since 2011 she is coached by renowned vocal teachers Neil Semer (New York) and Roberta Cunningham (Berlin).
Ellen had leading roles in several professional music-theatre and opera productions including many performances for children. She works on a regular basis as a solo-singer in the Netherlands and abroad and is connected to soloist-ensembles like ‘Muziektheater ImpAkt’ and ‘Vocaal Theater Vox’. She also is a core member of several professional choirs in the Netherlands with whom she produced a dozen choral music recordings.
