About Evi Gallmetzer
Born in South Tyrol/Italy, Evi Gallmetzer was already a keen singer and musician of folk music in her family. After studying singing in Innsbruck and Salzburg, she obtained a concert diploma in song and oratorio at the conservatory in Bolzano/Italy. This was followed by training in baroque singing in Milan with Claudine Ansermet and vocal pedagogy studies with Barbara Locher in Switzerland.
Evi Gallmetzer’s artistic activities include historical performances with original instruments by baroque ensembles in Italy, recitals, world premières and interdisciplinary projects in collaboration with actors and visual artists.
She teaches singing and voice training at the Allgemeine Musikschule Oberwallis, is a stylist for various choirs and works as a lecturer in vocal didactics and voice training at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Evi Gallmetzer also trains the speaking voice of actors, speakers and lecturers as a voice coach.
