About Jasmin Schmid

For over 25 years, Jasmin Schmid has been passionately teaching modern singing (Pop, Musical & more). She operates her own vocal studio in Zofingen (AG), Switzerland, where she specializes in teaching pop singing and belting.

Since 2012, she has also been sharing her expertise at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU).

During the Covid-19 pandemic, she launched her YouTube channel, “Jasmin Schmid Vocal Coach,” which she continues to manage enthusiastically.

Jasmin discovered her love for singing as a young girl. At age 12, she began classical singing lessons and was regularly performing by her teenage years.

After completing her secondary education with a focus on modern languages (Matura), she chose to pursue music professionally, beginning her vocal studies at the Jazz School Lucerne before transferring to the Swiss Jazz School in Bern.

However, her heart had always belonged to pop music and musical theater. She further honed her skills through numerous workshops and master classes with American vocal coaches in “Contemporary Voice” and “Belting,” which became her favorite areas of expertise.

As a musical actress, Jasmin portrayed the robot woman “Macchina” in over 100 performances of the successful Swiss musical “Space Dream.” She also appeared in various roles in the musical “EVITA” in Germany and Switzerland.

The versatile singer has performed in over 1000 shows across Switzerland, Germany, Austria, France and the Netherlands. She has released several CDs featuring her own songs and has appeared on stage as a guest singer alongside various artists and bands.
