Jenny Liebkind
About Jenny Liebkind
Jenny Liebkind is a singer, vocal educator, musical theater performer, conscious breathing coach, and co-developer of the SingLates method. She is also the founder of JL Laulustudio Helsinki, a vocal school established in 2020.
Jenny has performed leading roles in Finnish musical theater, most recently portraying Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof. Her stage credits also include The Sound of Music, The Full Monty, Mielensäpahoittajan miniä, and Katriina. In addition to her performance work, she serves as a voice teacher, breathing coach, and operational manager for SingLates.
Her interest in breathing stems from her early career as a dancer, when asthma made respiratory control her greatest challenge. This experience inspired a focus on the science of breathing, CO₂ tolerance, and respiratory performance. Today, she applies this knowledge to help athletes and performers enhance endurance, recovery, and overall well-being through evidence-based, individualized coaching.
Jenny is also an accomplished composer and musician. Her band SHEINE ITE won the second prize at the International Jazz Music Festival (IJMF) in Amsterdam (2017), competing against hundreds of international applicants. She composes contemporary world music rooted in the ancient tradition of Ladino. Their debut album, El Dio, was released in February 2022 and is available on all major digital platforms.
