About Stefanie Lorsch
Dr. Stefanie Lorsch is a linguist and voice researcher. She holds a degree in German and Romance Linguistics and Literature and Musicology from the Universities of Karlsruhe and Tübingen and received her doctorate from the University of Mannheim with a thesis on descriptions of the human singing voice, for which she received the Advancement Award from the Foundation for Communication and Media Studies at the University of Mannheim in
2024.
Stefanie Lorsch teaches German, Spanish and Music at a high school and linguistics, phonetics, and phonology at the University of Heidelberg. Her book „Bilder in unterschiedlichen Rahmen: verbales, musikalisches und gestisches Zeigen der Singstimme“ was published by Peter Lang in 2025.
