About Thaddäus Lange
Thaddäus Lange, born on 27 February 2005, is the eighth of nine children in a family of musicians. His musical talent became apparent at an early age, and he began piano lessons at the age of five.
A year later, he joined the Lucerne Kantorei and has been taking voice lessons from the choir’s director, Eberhard Rex. Thaddäus soon took on his first roles as a boy soloist, ranging from small solo parts to stage appearances as one of the three boys in Mozart’s Magic Flute at various theatres. This was followed by solo performances with the Musikkollegium Winterthur, Argovia Philharmonic and the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra (LSO).
His distinctive musicality and high motivation, his accomplished overview and ability to grasp musical contexts even at first sight are praised. In 2025, he won first prize with distinction in the highest category of singing at the Swiss Youth Music Competition.
Thaddäus is studying for a Bachelor of Arts in Music at the HSLU in the class of Hans-Jürg Rickenbacher.
